Sendsprint was founded in 2022, driven by Busari’s lived experience as a diaspora member. Sendsprint is a cross-border payment platform that enables users in the United Kingdom (UK), the United States (U.S.), and Canada to send money and non-cash value, such as gift cards, airtime, and essential services, to recipients in Nigeria, Ghana, and Kenya.
The platform offers a flat fee of $5 per international money transfer, regardless of the amount sent. This transparent pricing model is designed to provide a cost-effective alternative to traditional remittance services that often charge variable fees based on the transfer amount or payment method.
Since its launch, Sendsprint has made significant strides in scaling its operations and deepening its market access. The company has successfully established infrastructure in the UK and Nigeria, forming strategic partnerships with African retailers and service providers, and enabling seamless gift-based transfers.
Sendsprint has processed thousands of transactions and expanded its service offerings, positioning itself as a go-to for those seeking transparent, fast, and secure means to support their loved ones back home.
