Felicia Msiza is leading Raubex Group through strategic growth and greater inclusion in the SA construction industry.
Ntombi Felicia Msiza, a South African executive, is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Raubex Group Ltd. Appointed in August 2022, Msiza brings a strong background in governance and compliance to her leadership role. She initially joined Raubex Group in 2011 as an independent non-executive director, later transitioning to an executive position focusing on governance, risk management, and compliance, accumulating over a decade of service within the company before becoming CEO.
Felicia Msiza leads Raubex’s growth and expansion
Raubex, founded in 1974, operates in infrastructure development and the supply of construction materials. The group has a strong presence in southern Africa and has expanded operations to Western Australia. Its business is structured across four main segments: materials handling and mining, construction materials, roads and earthworks, and infrastructure, which includes renewable energy, telecommunications, and housing.
Since taking over leadership, Msiza has overseen various strategic initiatives aimed at improving the company’s operational reach and project pipeline. One of the most high-profile projects under her tenure is the restoration of South Africa’s National Assembly building in Cape Town, which was severely damaged by fire in January 2022. Raubex was awarded the contract for the restoration in a process overseen by the Development Bank of Southern Africa (DBSA). The project began in early 2025 and is expected to run for approximately 20 months. The project budget is over R2 billion (roughly $112 million).
Felicia Msiza has also led efforts to diversify the group’s portfolio and increase its presence in infrastructure markets beyond South Africa. This includes a continued push into Western Australia and a focus on securing higher-margin infrastructure projects. These moves are reported to have contributed to improved its financial performance and enhanced operational efficiency.
In addition to her corporate responsibilities, Msiza has been vocal about the importance of inclusive leadership and development opportunities within the construction industry. Her role at Raubex places her among a growing number of women leading large infrastructure firms in Africa, a sector traditionally dominated by men.
In recognition of her leadership, Felicia Msiza was named African Business Leader of the Year in 2025 by African Leadership Magazine.
