The app also incorporates technology that personalises contraceptive recommendations by considering users’ medical and sexual histories while adhering to WHO guidelines. It provides information on contraceptive methods, links users to nearby adolescent-friendly clinics for in-person services, and facilitates the purchase of SRH products like STD self-tests, condoms, and lubricants. With a commitment to delivering judgment-free care, the platform ensures young people receive the information and support they need without facing the biases typically found in traditional healthcare settings.

Inspired by personal experience, where a close relative faced life-altering consequences from an unintended pregnancy, her mission with Whispa is to empower young people to make informed decisions about their health. Her leadership has brought Whispa to the forefront of health tech, reaching over 100,000 users, with ambitious plans to scale across Africa, including Ghana, Senegal, and South Africa.
