Accessing quality healthcare and essential medications can be a daunting challenge in Africa. However, Adeola Alli, a visionary Nigerian tech entrepreneur, innovates pharmaceutical care (pharma care) through her health-tech startup, OneHealth. With a passion for transforming healthcare, Alli bridges the gap between patients and healthcare services, making medication more accessible and convenient.
Adeola’s experience informed her mission to provide Africans with access to medicine and healthcare solutions. When her son suffered from infant asthma, she faced difficulties sourcing specialised medications in Nigeria. That challenge drove her to create a platform streamlining the pharma care experience.
With over 15 years of business expertise in the pharmaceutical and business sectors, Adeola Alli leverages her experience to create a platform that streamlines the pharma care experience. She holds a Master of Pharmacy from the University of Manchester, an MBA from Instituto de Empresa Business School, and studied Business/Managerial Economics at Harvard Business School.
After working as a pharmacist at various UK and US companies, Alli returned to Nigeria and founded OneHealth. Initially, the platform started as a physical pharmacy but evolved into a digital platform to reach a wider audience.
With OneHealth, she empowers patients by providing convenient access to medication, healthcare information, and personalised support. OneHealth’s e-pharma care services enable users to consult with experienced pharmacists via mobile phone without leaving their homes or offices.
The platform offers prescription management, medication reminders, and online pharmacist consultations. With over 1,000 pharmacies across Nigeria’s 36 states, OneHealth provides last-mile pharma-care to patients.
“Healthcare is not just about medication; it’s about providing accessible, quality care. At OneHealth, we’re dedicated to transforming the pharmacare experience.”- Adeola Alli, Founder of OneHealth.
